Monday's Run

What a beautiful morning...50 degrees at the start,  slight breeze,  mind in the right place..life is good!
I need to be accountable for my runs so I have to come up with a training plan that will sustain my interest for the next 10 months.  During this mornings run, I decided to find find a local 1/2 that I can run during the end of spring or beginning of summer.

I am so behind!

I am behind on my training and only have one run completed this week.  I had every intention on running this morning but after waiting a while for it to warm up, then deciding I needed to  check some items off the Christmas list, by the time I returned home the wind was blowing like a sun of a gun.

I am a slacker and now that I have put it into writing, I need to do something about it. Tomorrow is Church then a dance lesson. Hopefully, I can get a run in tomorrow but we will not get home until two or three and then it will be time to make dinner....................

I need to make a training schedule and put it on the fridge so I will be held accountable...I was doing so good then have blown it the last few weeks!  I could blame the holidays but that does not set well in my mind. So for now, I will just say I am a slacker and need to get my butt in gear!

Today I am not Grumpy but I am Sneezy!

I started my run around noon today and since I got back home I have not been able to quit sneezing! The sneezing and runny nose is getting on my last nerve!
Ok, so what happened at mile 3??!! I was trying the negative split idea but I think I am better just running and not worrying about everything! As you see, I had positive splits until mile 4 which should have been the slowest because that is when I am running on concrete and I am very cautious since my fall several years ago!

Saturday's Run 12/04/2010

Today I woke up and waited for the weather to warm up so I could go on a run. While  waiting,  I checked my e mail on my iPad, while Hubby was checking his on the desk top. Every few minutes starting at 9 am, I switched over to peek at the weather channel and finally at 10am it was 38 degrees. I figured by the time I changed into running gear it would be in the 40's.

Well surprise...surprise..right before I left the house it was 35 degrees!  TOO darn bad, I had to go.  I put on my hat, and gloves,  then headed out of the house. Although my nose was cold, the rest of my body stayed warm and it ended up being a beautiful morning to run.

Finally

I finally learned how to use the Garmin.  Now mind you, I have only learned how to start, stop, reset and upload to the computer but I think I am on my way to enjoying this new toy.

Today I ran from The Signal Ditch Trail, to Eastlake and back.  This was just a nice easy run, on a beautiful day. The temp was in the low 50's and just a gentle breeze which made for one HAPPY me!  Looking at my split time, the last two miles were not good but that is OK because right now I am not going to focus on the time.  I know if I can just get in the miles, work on building lung power, everything else will fall into place!
