Today I woke up and waited for the weather to warm up so I could go on a run. While waiting, I checked my e mail on my iPad, while Hubby was checking his on the desk top. Every few minutes starting at 9 am, I switched over to peek at the weather channel and finally at 10am it was 38 degrees. I figured by the time I changed into running gear it would be in the 40's.
Well surprise...surprise..right before I left the house it was 35 degrees! TOO darn bad, I had to go. I put on my hat, and gloves, then headed out of the house. Although my nose was cold, the rest of my body stayed warm and it ended up being a beautiful morning to run.

You are amazing. Your story of starting out small is really inspirational. Sounds like something we all could do if we put our minds to it! Good for you. Keep running!
ReplyDeleteHi Shawn! So glad I found your blog! I have also completed 4 half marathons and only started running about two years ago. In July I climbed Kilimanjaro and since then my running has just been put on the back burner - I need to get motivated again!!
ReplyDeleteSo I'm going to come back to your site for inspiration on a regular basis!! In 2012 I'll be walking the 780km Camino de Santiago for my BIG (!) birthday so I guess I'll have to get back on the road sooner rather than later!
