I love Saturday Morning's

I have always cherished Saturday mornings.

When the kids were little, they could sleep in then get up and watch cartoons in their PJ's while I made a big breakfast. Now that I am an empty nester, you would think that I would sleep in, get up read the paper in my PJ's and have a leisurely breakfast. NOPE, for some reason my internal clock starts ringing, or the cat's start meowing, and I am up at the crack of dawn.  This morning was no exception!

I woke up at 5:30 and knew that was the end of sleep for me. I did not want to bother Hubby so like a bull in a china cabinet as quietly as I could, I  stumbled through the bedroom knocking into the bathroom door tiptoed out of the bedroom with a cat in each arm.  I had to take the fur babies or they would start their morning parade, marching up and down the bed, walking on Hubby's  head, chest, legs and  then sticking their cute faces right in front his, nose to nose,  meowing "GET UP I WANT TO EAT"!

That is the way my morning started. I fed the cat's, watched a TV program I had recorded, checked my emails and waited for Hubby to wake up for breakfast.

How was your morning? Do you sleep in or are you an early riser? Do you hop out of bed with a big smile or are you a little grumpy before that first cup of coffee or tea?  Do you get up and get ready for the day or lounge around in your PJ's until the afternoon?

Today's Run!

This week starts the training plan for my Marathon, the time of accountability! I will keep a log of each training day and hopefully the progress of improvement as the months pass. Here I come Chicago!

  1. You go girl. I don't do the butt crack of dawn unless I have to work, which was all week and today too. 4:55 is not my most favorite time of the day though I do get up, meet the kids and parents with a smile on my face and start my day.
Sundays is my sleep in day. 8:00 of later and I enjoy it a lot.
    Take care and God Bless!!

  2. Oh Wow! As a runner I think it is great that you are a morning person - and 5:30 is bright and early! Gotta bless those cats for their morning time stroll! One in each arm...!!

I too am a morning person ! I love a new day coming - so full of potential!

Run well!! I'm rooting for you!

    Blessings!

  3. I wish I were a morning person, but ever since I gave up a very early starting job I've been loving my lazy mornings. I thought after enough time, I'd get used to it and begin getting up & going earlier, but nope - you can always find me sitting in my robe with my coffee come 9am.
